About Us

We are a not-for-profit provider of comprehensive mental health services with deep roots in North Iowa. Formerly known as the Mental Health Center of North Iowa, we celebrate our 60th anniversary with a new focus and a new name: WellSource.

Our inaugural annual meeting, held January, 1955, is documented in ‘Reaching Out,’ a history of the mental health center’s early development. Today, we continue a long tradition of innovation and outreach.

Reaching out to serve individuals, families and communities in North Iowa brings new opportunities in a rapidly changing world. Technology, healthcare reform, and developments in brain science bring new possibilities in how and where care is provided. New interventions and research-based treatments more effectively target individual needs and promote better outcomes.

Our Integrated Health Teams serve adults and children in seven counties coordinating physical, emotional and behavioral health, wellness, and recovery. Through this team approach, our highly specialized medical, clinical and support professionals provide exceptional personalized care to help you reach your goals.

We believe emotional health is the foundation of wellness and the key to experiencing satisfaction, connection, and purpose. Our lifespan approach starts with early screening and prevention, and tailors care to the challenges in each life-stage so you or your loved one can lead a full and productive life.

WellSource is committed to providing high quality diagnostic, treatment and support services that enrich the lives of people and the communities where they live, learn, work and play.
